Location
Herscher, Illinois. Population 1,600. Located 16 miles southwest of Kankakee on Illinois Rte. 115. All runners and walkers should check in between 4:30 and 5:30 at Village Park in Herscher.

Course Description
Both the 5-K and 2-Mile Fun Walk on Herscher's streets. Flat, fast course, mostly shaded. The course will be painted on the street to direct runners. Refreshments are provided following the race.

Registration Fee
$8 per participant prior to Aug. 25th. Race Day Registration Fee is $10 per person. Access a downloadable Entry Form for the Hare & Tortoise Race.

Free Race Souvenir
Commemorative Hare & Tortoise Race Towels will be given to the first 100 race participants who register.

Other Information
5-K and Fun Walk both begin and finish at Village Park in Herscher. Police protection provided during the race. Awards will be presented at the Village Park stage after the race.
