Quilt Show at the Herscher United Methodist Church Sponsored by the Herscher Area
Historical Society – a nonjuryed quilt show.  Featured will be antique, special interest, and unique quilts made or belonging to Herscher area people. For more information and an entry form visit the Quilt Show page.

BBQ Cook Off
1st Annual BBQ Cook-off on Maple Street between Second St. and Chicago Avenue near the Beer stand.  Hosted by the Herscher Fire Department.  Judging will be done early afternoon.  Meals may be purchased for $8 that includes sandwich, cole slaw, beans, and drink.  People buying dinners get to vote for the “Peoples Choice Winners.” For a map of the Herscher's streets download a Herscher Map.

Herscher Area Historical Society Cemetery Walk
A cemetery walk is much more than a brief tour of the grave sites of a towns early settlers and prominent people.

A cemetery walk is a trip to the past in which participants experience history with the help of a costumed actors and reenactments, that can connect people with their towns history and consquently build pride in the community. 26th Annual running of the Herscher Hare and Tortoise Race

Provena St. Mary's Auxiliary will be hosting Beanbags for Breast Cancer, a corn toss tournament at the Herscher Labor Day Celebration. Sign-ups will begin at 1:30, with the tournament at 2:00 p.m. Team entry is only $40, with the chance to win $200 for First Place or $100 for Second Place.
